Personal Background

Dr. Coppari received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from University of Camerino, Italy in 2004 and 2007 respectively and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris in 2010. Her thesis work examined the pressure-induced transformations occurring in amorphous materials under static compression (diamond anvil cells). In this period she also collaborated with the staff members of the energy-dispersive beamline of the Soleil Synchrotron (Paris) to develop a new setup for combined x-ray absorption and diffraction measurements. In 2011 she joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a postdoctoral research associate, where she is currently involved in the in study of condensed matter at extreme conditions generated by laser-driven compression, by x-ray diffraction and absorption spectroscopy.
