Mike Heffner is a physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Currently, he is the chief scientist for the proposed nEXO experiment that aims to make the most sensitive measurement of neutrinoless double beta decay, a top priority for the nuclear and particle physics communities. Mike also leads the fission TPC project, the first time projection chamber designed to make neutron induced fission cross section measurements.
