Research Interests

My primary research interests have been focused on the structure of nuclei and how this evolves with the addition or subtraction of individual nucleons. I am particularly interested in how nuclear structure influences various astrophysical processes as well as the chemical evolution of the galaxy. My recent projects at LLNL include the investigation of octupole shapes in nuclei and neutron-induced fission of actinides.
