I am a Physical Polymer Chemist specializing in polymer degradation chemistry, mass spectrometry and applied polymer spectroscopy. My main research interests and focus are degradation and compatibility in synthetic polymeric materials; specifically the study of the gas phase chemistry and reaction kinetics of multi-component systems under the influence of simulated service conditions. The goal of which is to build valid predictive models of long term stability and compatibility of polymeric materials for Lifetimes Assessment. My work also centers on the fundamental study of motional dynamics & confinement in soft-solids and novel highly structured hierarchical composite materials through the use of dielectric relaxometry and NMR spectroscopy.
