Research Interests

  • The aging and compatibility assessment of materials (energetic materials, polymers, and metals) including experimental methods and predictive capabilities
  • System level modeling of multi-material systems to assess aging and compatibility based on sorption, outgassing, diffusion and chemical reaction kinetics
  • Experimental methods and modeling of chemical reaction kinetics and mechanisms
  • Experimental methods to understand and quantify energetic material thermal explosion phenomena
  • High pressure burn rate measurements and burn phenomena of energetic material
