Research Interests

I develop materials and materials processing technologies for demanding engineering applications, particularly in applications requiring engineered interfaces or thin films. Currently I am interested in synthesis and post-processing techniques to enhance the chemical stability of polymers synthesized by chemical vapor deposition. I also study laser damage of glass interfaces, free-standing polymer films, techniques for fabricating optical assemblies, and cleaning process development.
