Research Interests

Dr. Mason's research focuses on characterizing natural and engineered materials. Research topics include: Combing NMR spectroscopic measurements with X-ray computed tomographic analysis to understand the dynamic processes occurring during carbon sequestration activities. Developing advanced solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopic methods to investigate systems containing actinide elements. Developing and applying NMR spectroscopy to the study of polymers, ceramics, and novel materials.
